This cosy lodge is situated within a holiday park on the shores of Lake Windermere, making it the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring the wonderful Lake District and surrounding areas.

Fantastically located by the shores of Lake Windermere, this cosy lodge is perfect for escaping to the fabulous Lake District National Park and sleeps six guests across three bedrooms. After days of adventuring, head home and fire up the wood burner-effect gas fire or bubble the night away in the private hot tub. With access to an indoor heated swimming pool, spa bath, sauna, steam room and gym (shared with other properties on-site), guests of all ages will stay entertained for hours.

Step up to make your way inside, where you can settle down in the open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner. Great for all occasions, this space has a pair of sofas which are perfectly arranged around the wood burner-effect gas fire and the TV. Put your feet up and plan your next adventure, enjoy a family film night or delve into a good book for some peace and quiet. When it’s time to start preparing dinner, chop away in the kitchen window and find all you need to rustle up something tasty. Tuck into an al fresco meal on the decking, or plate up inside and raise a toast to holidaying with loved ones before heading into the hot tub for a bubble and a soak. After a relaxing evening, head to bed; all three bedrooms have TVs for a cosy morning under the covers, and the bunk room is suited to children and holiday sleepovers with siblings and friends. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Tucked between the vibrant hub of Windermere (2.5 miles) and the northern tip of the lake at Ambleside (3.5 miles), enjoy days at waterside towns where you can begin walks with fantastic views, treat yourselves to a pitstop at a local eatery, or hop on dog-friendly cruises of the lake. A great way to entertain little ones and the big kids among you is to visit Brockhole, where treetop adventures and mini golf are just a couple of the activities on offer.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The location of the lodge is perfect the park is a lovely site. We loved getting up and walking down to the stunning arena every day with the dogs. The club house and shop are really handy and a five minute walk away. The hot tub whilst a nice addition isnt in the best position so didnt get used very often. It also sits right outside the window of Read morethe bedroom so is very noisy through the night when it fires up. The decor is cosy but the cleaning needs to be better Hide

We had a great holiday. Hot tub was lovely and warm. The lodge was a good size and the location on the site is great. The lodge is quite well equipped however some of the kitchen items are a bit dated and batteries were missing from 1 of the tv remotes.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
