Even if you only have a few days to spare, you can enjoy the amazing scenery, activities and attractions that the Lake District has to offer. There are endless picturesque villages to explore, as well as a multitude of rural locations to discover. The Lake District National Park had walks, cycle routes, hills to climb and lochs to picnic by and the fishing, kayaking and watersports keep you entertained for hours.

The renowned childrens author, Beatrix Potter, held the county close to her heart, summering here every year and taking inspiration from the incredible surroundings. The Lake Distrcict still celebrates her with many attractions to visit and with many cottages around lake Windermere you are able to retrace her footsteps and visit all the places she loved. Just remember to keep an eye out for Peter Rabbit!
