Built by local craftsmen, the oak and glass-panelled open-tread staircase leads directly from the lounge into the beautifully furnished bedroom which offers a sumptuous king-size bed, Smart TV, en-suite shower room and vaulted ceiling with original exposed beams. As well as some fabulous places to eat and drink, Cartmel is home to a medieval priory and a National Hunt racecourse, with Holker Hall and Gardens also just a couple of miles away. Additionally, the coastal town of Grange-over-Sands (2.5 miles) is nearby, or you can visit Lakeland Motor Museum (9.5 miles) and Sizergh Castle (11.5 miles). If you wish to take to the water head to the southern tip of Windermere for a lake cruise (9 miles).
