Stay close to home and discover the village of Eskdale Green, a hidden gem in the heart of the National Park. Further afield, this valley boasts an abundance of stunning walking and biking routes including the charming 13 mile Eskdale Trail. You may prefer to tour the local area aboard the La'al Ratty steam engine, discovering the nearest station just mere metres from your doorstep. This unique mode of transport offers a direct route to the coastal town of Ravenglass that’s around 6 miles away. Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Lake District retreat without a visit to one of the area’s many lakes. Jump in the car to discover Wast Water nearby (5 miles) or the ever-popular Windermere further afield (20.5 miles).

Boasting a traditional décor throughout, this paired back property is perfectly inviting and a real home-from-home. Head on in to a porch area to remove boots and coats before entering the kitchen. This space, which doubles up as a dining room, has been fitted with an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher – everything you might need to prepare meals throughout your stay. Also downstairs is a bright and cheerful lounge with original wooden beams and comfy sofas. Enjoy the TV/DVD in the evening or switch on the CD player with radio. Upstairs, two cosy bedrooms both offer lovely views to wake up to every morning. The first of these is a snug double whilst the second is a twin. Finally, a family bathroom with WC and shower over bath completes the two-storey accommodation.

Outside you’ll find a shared garden available for use between yourselves and the property next door. This sunny lawn features pretty flowers and plenty of space to stretch your legs. The property also has a private patio that’s furnished for alfresco dining and shared laundry facilities with washing machine and tumble dryer.
