Drive 11.5 miles and then walk the final 0.5 miles to attempt to climb Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England. Venture 3 miles to Boot to catch a steam train on the scenic Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway. Pause in Ravenglass, 3.5 miles from the cottage, to stroll on the beach and visit Muncaster Castle and Gardens.

Relax in here as you gaze outside or perhaps switch the TV and settle down to a film together. Play a CD as you plan days out and excursions from the cottage. Amble through into the kitchen/diner to make a cup of tea from the welcome pack and carry it back through to the lounge or sit at the table to enjoy it as you think about what to make for supper.
