One of three amazing newly built (2022) cottages in a traditional Lakeland design, ideal for a family or group getaway in this wonderful, picturesque region.

Situated in an idyllic spot between the charming Lakeland villages of Allithwaite and Cartmel, this stylishly decorated property makes a lovely holiday getaway for families and couples. Providing bright and spacious accommodation for up to four guests, this hideaway makes a great base for eager walkers, cyclists and nature lovers discovering the impressive fells and lush woodlands of a beautiful part of Cumbria. Surrounded by glorious countryside, the property is one of three properties on site and makes a tranquil retreat within the southern reaches of the Lake District.

Stepping into this elegant property, the tastefully designed open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides a welcoming living space for everyone to unwind in. With plenty of seating, an electric fire and a Smart TV, the cosy lounge is a perfect space to snuggle up, watch a movie or chat about the day’s adventures. You can all gather around the breakfast bar in the mornings, and the fully equipped kitchen is perfect for rustling up a wide range of favourite dishes. Going upstairs you will have a choice between two refreshing king-size bedrooms, each with a Smart TV and an en-suite shower room. Heading outside, the patio provides a lovely spot to sip a morning coffee as you get ready to explore this spellbinding area.

The picturesque village of Allithwaite has a friendly inn and makes a great base for exploring the breathtaking Cartmel Peninsula, with local attractions including Holker Hall and Gardens, Humphrey Head, Lakeland Motor Museum, Hampsfell, Predator Experience and Fell Foot, at the southern tip of Windermere (all within 8 miles). The lively village of Cartmel (1.5 miles) is renowned for its wide choice of restaurants, cafes and pubs, and is home to a popular steeplechase racecourse and a medieval priory.

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Easy to find, new cottage, looks beautiful but cleanliness needs work. Housekeeping company came out when we complained.

Well situated and built recently to a high standard, insulation and heating great for Autumn . En-suite bathrooms good quality and extra toilet downstairs useful. Basic furnishings downstairs , kitchen reasonable equipment . Good base for exploring local villages. Limited immediate area for dog to be off lead . No recycling bins / boxes provided. Really lovely accommodation and situated in a quiet rural setting. Ideally located for visiting Lake District towns and attractions. Perfect for 2 couples as both rooms had en-suites. We have suggested a few tweaks that we feel would enhance the property but would thoroughly recommend it and will more than likely return.

Couldn't find any fault with this cottage, lovely and clean, nicely furnished and very comfy beds and well equipped. The cottage also provided iron and ironing board and hairdryer which was not on listing. Although set amongst other farm building and cottages, didn't hear a thing. The location of the cottage was stunning, beautiful views across fields & the bay. It was spotlessly clean & holiday company was very responsive. The cottage is 1.5 miles from Cartmel. If you walk via the road it takes 25/30 mins. We preferred the cross country route (start at public footpath opp driveway) which takes you across fields, down a tracRead morek and to back of the racecourse (approx 40/45 mins). Lovely well presented house. Home from home, loved our weeks stay there. Would be more helpful if Holiday cottages showed the exact location before booking as located down a single track road, which could be a problem for some.

A lovely, relatively new and modern property with great views over the countryside to the sea and west facing for glorious sunsets. Well presented with contemporary facilities. The cottage is lovely, Spacious and comfortable with stunning views and sunsets. Good location for exploring but nice and quiet as away from the road ( a car is needed). We were incredibly lucky with the weather but if raining, the wifi is poor, therefore if you have children take some games!

TBH.....I feel a little put off about booking another cottage with you. We have had another occasion last year at another property that we booked woth you. I guess im annoyed that you charge extra for dog's which I don't mind paying , but when the property isn't cleaned properly in the first place it's quite annoying.

Lovely well maintained cottage set well away from the road, close to the village of Cartmel but a car is needed unless you are ultra fit.

Cottage is brand new, immaculate with all fixtures and fittings to a great standard indeed. Perfectly situated for visiting all the local attractions with beautiful countryside walks on your doorstep. Locals extremely friendly. Beautiful cottages, all new, very clean, comfortable and spacious bedroom. Lovely location to explore the lake district. We enjoyed a lot. Jymy, Ana an Marley the dog.

Lovely new property, in a peaceful setting and beautiful views (and sunsets) :) with a short walk into the pretty village of Cartmel with it's pubs, restaurants and shops. Everything you need for a break away, with an enclosed outdoor space for the dogs and lots of places to visit nearby with short drives to the coast and Windermere. Recommended!
