This brand new (2022) property is a must-stay for the family and will feel like a home from home, styled with luxury in mind and located in peaceful surroundings.

Surrounded by the breathtaking countryside of the Cartmel Peninsula, this elegant, minimalist property makes a fantastic holiday home for up to six guests. Offering beautiful accommodation, this hideaway is part of a delightful small complex of three properties that are ideally situated for discovering the spellbinding southern edge of the Lake District. Perfect for families and friends, the property makes a fabulous retreat for walkers, cyclists, climbers and nature lovers exploring this stunning area’s beautiful coastlines, deep woodlands and impressive fells.

This property features a stylish entrance hall with high vaulted ceiling and oak stairs. Exploring the ground floor you will find the heart of the cottage – the open-plan lounge/diner which makes a lovely spot to relax in. Featuring a wood burner, TV and plenty of seating, the spacious and airy lounge is perfect for everyone to get together, chat about the day’s events or watch a movie. The separate dining area is ideal for sharing a celebratory meal which you can rustle up in the fully equipped kitchen which also has its own charming breakfast bar. Going up the attractive oak open-tread staircase, you will have a choice of three bright and refreshing en-suite king-size bedrooms on the first floor, two of which have their own TV. Outside, the patio provides a charming space for a morning coffee or dining alfresco at the end of a wonderful day.

Cartmel (1.5 miles) is a popular village known for its choice of friendly restaurants, cafes and pubs, and is home to a steeplechase racecourse and a medieval priory. The beautiful Fell Foot (8 miles) is a glorious country park on the southern edge of Windermere. Other attractions include Holker Hall and Gardens, Hampsfell, Humphrey Head, Lakeland Motor Museum and Predator Experience (all within 7 miles).

We had a fantastic week staying in Edgemore Cottage. The location of the cottage was just beautiful, walking distance to the village Cartmel. The house was very welcoming and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. We loved the welcome gift of coffee and shortbread. The property is well located in a peaceful rural area - beautiful views across fields and it is easy to visit key places in the Lakes. Cottage is modern and new - with just a few repairs / some maintenance it would be amazing as the rooms are generous in size and the living / kitchen space plentiful. Excellent location and gorgeous house! You can walk into Cartmel easily (30 mins) and there are plenty of dog friendly places to eat. When I say TV signal was bad- not even basic channels worked! House was boiling even when it was 16 degrees outside. Recommend Hales for ice cream! Bring milk for arrival, tea towels, washing up liquid and bin bags fRead moreor a week. Top tip- Tesco do online shopping delivery to the house- life saver for space in the car. Would defo come back! Hide

Great cottage with lovely views over Cartmel and surrounding area. Nice walk to Cartmel village with some great pubs. We had a great week and the dogs seemed to enjoy it as well.

We have never been to a holiday property that has such a poor welcome pack or information pack. Edgemere is a good holiday property, but will never be a great property until the Wi-Fi is improved and customers are made to feel welcome.

A great cottage in a secluded hamlet with beautiful views across the countryside to Morecambe bay. Approx 20 mins stroll to Cartmel village which is a fantastic place to visit with small shops, cafes and 5 star pubs and restaurants. Edgemere Cottages were absolutely wonderful, home from home with everything you would need, beds were very comfortable after the long walks. Beautiful location. Excellent family holiday with our dog. Would highly recommend these cottages.
