Buttermere and Crummock Water are to the west (both 4.5 miles), providing some stunning scenery. The delightful village of Braithwaite (3 miles) has a couple of welcoming pubs. Local landmarks and attractions include the Bowder Stone (6 miles), Honister Slate Mine (8 miles), Whinlatter Forest Park (5 miles) and the Lake District Wildlife Park (10 miles). The flourishing town of Keswick (5.5 miles) has a range of great pubs, shops and restaurants, and is home to the Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzling Place and the Theatre by the Lake.

Parking is available just around the corner from the property, with further parking in the main farmyard. There’s also storage space, shared with the other properties on-site, suitable for bikes, outdoor equipment and muddy boots – please bring your own bike locks.
