Lovely property in beautiful surroundings, however the sound isolation from the downstairs property could be better. Although clean and tidy the property could do with some maintenance and a few more teaspoons

We did have an enjoyable break here. Location/views are great. The cottage is attractive inside but more thought has been given to how it looks rather than how it works. The bed is comfortable, the shower amazing. Nowhere to hang wet outdoor gear - this is the Lakes! The lighting in the kitchen is inadequate and the carpet is a terrifying pale beigRead moree. There are cobwebs everywhere. If you put bottles in the fridge door, they fall out. No dishwasher. Irritated that at this price, no towels Hide

Over priced. Met with for sale sign out side property off putting. Still no visitors book for feedback. Cottage handbook tatty not been updated. Second bedroom toilet blocks, hence only used the one toilet for duration of holiday. Rafters and beams need attention. Any issues get in touch with your holiday rep as I did. Views amazingly stunning. CleRead morean and tidy except cobwebs in rafters. Keswick and Kendal along with the lakes are brilliant and highly recommend the Thai restaurant in Keswick. Hide

The property is located on a narrow road in the Newlands valley which is fine for confident drivers. The views from the windows are spectacular and the property is well furnished and spacious. Its location is quite isolated meaning you need to drive to get anywhere for shopping or even a pub. We encountered a few maintenance issues which were fixedRead more but should have been sorted in advance. Needs a shower over the bath and simple shower storage. Hide

Absolutely stunning house, views and location. Myself and teenage sons loved the house and surrounding adventures. The road is very busy next to the house, so be very careful with young children, but apart from that we wish we could have stayed for a month. Definitely coming back.

Overall a decent place to stay, but with a few niggles (no phone signal or wifi, no towels, odd selection of glassware) which could be improved.
