The accommodation is in a fabulous location. It is warm, comfortable and very well equipped. We appreciated the new fridge freezer and the very sharp knives. We also really enjoyed the welcome gifts! Each time we stay, we love it more and more!

We loved this cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped. Generous gifts of local produce on arrival. Superb location with mountain walks from the doorstep and a 15 minute walk to the lake for a morning swim. Thank you to the owners and highly recommended.

It was our second visit and we loved it just as much. The house is roomy and the location is stunning. It's so good to be able to do really satisfying walks from the door and also to be able to sit in the garden and look out at the Buttermere mountains (telling yourself that you might still get up Red Pike one day!).

There will not be many cottages that have a view like this one. Excellent place to stay if you want to walk the fells from your doorstep.

We had a fantastic week in this special cottage in an idyllic location. We were a group of four and found it spacious and comfortable for the size of our group. Lovely area for walking and we swam in Crummock Water on hot days. Kirkstile Inn recommended, great food and friendly. Cockermouth had a good array of shops and is a 15 minutes drive for thRead moree supermarket. This is a lovely property if you want a place to stay thats off the beaten track but close enough to main towns to be accessible. Hide
