Big thing for us was the location, right in the town, and the enclosed garden which meant the dog was safe. The cottage had everything you would need for either a short or long stay.

Angel Cottage is very well located for Coniston and Ambleside and the surrounding fells. The village of Hawkshead is lovely. The cottage is cosy and has all the necessary amenities, including a full kitchen for cooking proper meals.

Perfect location on the edge of the village. Small but met our needs just fine. Comfortable bed, decent shower, very small fridge and freezer. Lovely and warm on arrival, and stayed that way with the open fire blazing. Nice to have a secure garden for the dog and a car park space is essential in Hawkshead too. Would definitely be happy to return, iRead moret ticks a lot of boxes. Hide

Stayed here from the 5th to 12th October 2019. Delightful cottage in a great location for Hawkshead and surrounding areas. The cottage had all you could want for a stay in the Lakes and it was always a pleasure to return after a day out. Would recommend to anyone wanting to be in Hawkshead.

Cottage was clean, comfortable and in a great location being only a couple of minutes from the local COOP, chemist and four pubs. The garden was lovely to eat in on a warm evening as a table and chairs were provided. Not our first visit and it wont be our last - thank you.

A lovely little cottage in a great location. We found the fridge was broken when we arrived which could happen at any time. I walked up to the office which is very close and reported it. We were given an ice box immediately and a new fridge fitted the following day. Brilliant service team!

We stayed at Angel Cottage in Hawkshead at the start of May. The cottage was lovely, and very cosy. We chose it, not only as it looked nice, but the location in the village was excellent and we could take our Boxer dog. Ask the guys in the office when we went to pick up the keys were great, and willing to help should there be any issues. Fantastic location, close to local amenities. Lovely village with excellent pubs and places to walk the dog nearby. The cottage is small but adequate for a couple with a small dog and the garden is pretty with a small lawn and is fully enclosed.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
