Each apartment enjoys magnificent views of both the lake and the surrounding mountain scenery including the Langdales, Coniston and Wetherlam ranges. Hawkshead, one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District, is just one mile away. Ambleside, Coniston, Grizedale and Grasmere are within easy reach, and Windermere and Bowness are just a short ferry ride away. With breath-taking scenery and activities for the whole family, including hiking, kayaking, biking and fishing, this idyllic spot guarantees a memorable holiday.

On entering this lovely and light first-floor corner apartment you will find yourself in the bright and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. The pretty and comfortable lounge offers a TV (with Chromecast), DVD, CD and ipod dock with Bluetooth speaker. The elegant kitchen offers everything you may need including electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. The traditional dining table is ideally situated by the bay window, commanding beautiful panoramic views of Esthwaite Water and the mountains and woodlands beyond. Exploring further you will find two attractive and comfy bedrooms. There is a spacious king-size bedroom with a relaxing view of the neighbouring woodland. This bedroom also has a contemporary en-suite shower room complete with WC. The charming zip-and-link twin bedroom, also enjoys beautiful woodland views, (can be made into a king-size bed upon request.) You will also find an elegant bathroom with, roll top bath, shower over bath with WC (which is newly refurbished for 2017).

Stepping outside, you can enjoy the glorious views and the beauty of the landscaped gardens and surrounding woodlands. The property enjoys private lake frontage and the grassy shorline is a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic. You can also explore approximately 40 acres of gardens and woodlands. There is also a children’s play area with swings, climbing frame and outside table tennis and pitch and putt. There is ample off-road parking available.

What a tremendous place. The views are fabulous, the grounds are great and the apartment is excellent. We liked this place a lot and will hopefully be back again to enjoy its pleasures again. The visitor book is full of praise for the place from people who return year after year which is testament in itself.

Lovely apartment, we had the Broomsrigg 11. All mod cons,stunning view from living room window. Very comfortable and homely.A nice touch was the dvds and the books and maps,a lot of which were about the Lake District, and places to visit. Alan ,the caretaker was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this holiday.

The Lakes is great at any time of the year - Broomriggs is indeed a special place to stay - just outside Hawkshead, with a lake view and a short walk to a good pub with food

Broomriggs setting is second to none with views over Esthwaite Water and surrounded by it's own grounds. We were able to watch the wildlife from the comfort of the apartment and watch the changing weather over the mountains. The apartment itself was well stocked with games, books, CDs and condiments etc. and was very comfortable. Beautiful apartment. Very clean beds and very comfy, also the chairs , well equipped kitchen every thing you need. Bathroom super with excellent shower Home from home. Excellent views over lake. My wife had to smoke outside, which is fair. That she was told by the warden to stand at least 5 meter away (in the rain) from the property as the smoke might set of a smoke alarm in the house seem to be a bit over the top.

Well equipped apartment in a great location with fantastic lake views and good value for money. The 20 minute walk to Hawkshead is 70% on the road which has to be taken into account if you have small children and dont want to take the car. Overall great accommodation in well maintained gardens.

We stayed in Hawkshead in the Broomriggs cottages. The accommodation was high standard and the price per week was more than acceptable. The location was absolutely gorgeous and an ideal spot to explore a lot of stunning sights in the lake district.

It is important to note that these are apartments and not individual dwellings. Therefore one has to be considerate of others. Also, whilst the grounds are totally accessible, it is not possible to step out through patio doors for example and relax outside the lounge. We have spent many holidays in Broomriggs over the last 30 years. Apartments get better every time. They are perfect now, very comfortable, home from home. Something that doesn't change, THE VIEW !!!. Fabulous, can never get tired of it. Many good memories over the years.

This is a super apartment with amazing views of the lake. It is set in extensive grounds with woodland walks and good games facilities such as table tennis and a wee play park. Broomriggs 11 was just perfect for our family holiday. The apartment was lovely, spacious, very clean and with amazing views from it's large living room window.
