Broomriggs 11 is always lovely; we enjoyed this stay as much as our first ten years ago. It is such an ideal location, being able to walk to either Hawkshead or Near Sawrey with ease.

Broomriggs complex nice, beautiful location with lots right on your doorstep. No recycling bins provided though which was disappointing (despite seeing recycling trucks about). No 11 was a bit scruffy in places, dirty carpet, lumpy duvets etc not worth the money in my opinion...although the revamped bathrooms were nice and had a lovely hot shower. A lovely apartment in a great location outside Hawkshead (if you have a car or like walking). The new bathroom and shower are a very good update. Excellent kitchen with equipment for eating in (important for COVID times). We really enjoyed our half term stay here - again !

Quiet location with stunning views and close to shops and pubs in Hawkshead. The use of rowing boats on the lake is a special pleasure. The wardens are very friendly and helpful, however guests must remember to go through the letting agency, after all they are entitled to time off.

We loved being on the first floor with a great view of the lake and, in particular, the glorious sunsets. The grounds are extensive with a mixture of woodland and formal gardens. We really appreciated the tranquility and the proximity to Hawkshead and its facilities.

Of course, the location was great as we were in THE LAKES! The apartment was excellent in every way; we could not have expected, or asked for, more. The caretaker was on hand and was very friendly. Plenty of parking. We would certainly go again.

Very nice location. Comfortable and clean. Although it is an apartment, there was no noise from anyone. Well equipped. The office is nearby for any problems. Could do with the heating on all day in winter, when adverse weather conditions.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
