Conveniently located in a peaceful pocket of Keswick, this charming property is just a short walk from the town’s vibrant atmosphere and great choice of shops and eateries. Keswick is also home to an Art Deco cinema, a famous pencil museum and a leisure centre offering plenty to do on those rainy afternoons. Beyond the town lies beautiful Derwentwater, around which a memorable 8-mile lakeside stroll can be enjoyed. Alternatively, hop on and off the regular launch service and alight at the various landing stages around the lake including Lodore, Brandlehow and Ashness Gate. Other nearby attractions include Honister Slate Mine, 9.5 miles away, and Castlerigg Stone Circle, just 2 miles away.

Inside, this Georgian property has been tastefully modernised to offer stylish accommodation featuring soft pastel tones, oak flooring and original sash windows and shutters. Cook and dine in the sunny kitchen, which opens onto the patio garden to offer an al fresco feel. The kitchen includes an electric Aga oven and gas hobs, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and round table to seat four. After long walks outside, fire up the wood burner and sink into the inviting sofas in the lounge to enjoy a relaxing evening of TV or Netflix while younger guests choose from the selection of toys, games and books. On the first floor, two bedrooms share a tiled bathroom with shower over the bath. At the front of the house the elegant master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and a dressing table with views of the Whinlatter fells, while a cosy bunk bedroom overlooks the garden towards the church.

Step outside from the kitchen to make the most of the sunshine in the smart patio garden, where you will find a table and chairs and a selection of pretty pot plants. At the end of the garden are two outhouses, one offering plenty of storage space for bikes and the other providing a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This cottage is in a perfect location. Its situated in Keswick town close to shops and eateries but also quiet as not a through road. There is a church at the back which has lovely bells ringing which is charming. The lake is a ten minute walk which was great for walking our dog first thing The cottage is well equipped and cleanliness excellent. This is a lovely cosy cottage in a good location to walk into town. It's in a pleasant area with plenty walks around too.

Fabulous place to stay. It was clean, beds and pillows was soooo comfy, had everything you needed in the kitchen. Welcome pack was wonderful. The cottage is in the perfect place as only 2 mins from centre of Keswick. Enclosed garden which was good as we had taken our dog with us.
