Located in the pretty village of Lindale, it is in an ideal spot for exploring the coast and the lakes, giving you the best of both worlds. Open-tread stairs lead upstairs to the bedroom, which is inviting and relaxing, ensuring you’ll both wake up feeling rested and refreshed. A separate dressing room is a lovely addition for getting ready and storing clothes. The modern shower room with walk-in shower completes the upstairs layout. Outside, take a seat on the bench and enjoy a drink in the small garden to the front of the property.

If food is your thing then don’t miss Cartmel (4 miles) which is famously home to the sticky toffee pudding. While there, climb to Hampsfield Fell, which takes in panoramic views of the village. The southern edge of Lake Windermere is 6 miles away, where you can try your hand at paddleboarding and canoeing, or take a pleasure cruise across the water. If you’re craving the coast, head to the beach and promenade at Grange-over-Sands, 2.5 miles away.

It was a lovely, pretty cottage. Set in a lovely village located conveniently for the Lakes. Unfortunately, it seems the owner/housekeeper doesnt read reviews from previous guests as there was many things not rectified or picked up. Stairs arent very dog friendly and exceptionally slippy. Im young and mobile but this could be a problem for the lessRead more mobile. Heating and hot water should be adjusted by the individuals staying there. Driveway at the back of the property was excellent. Hide

Nice cottage, although you REALLY need a car - getting around without one was quite difficult. The itinerary we formed on the first night using the folder provided by the host was useless given that the folder is extremely outdated and most places we attempted to go to were shut down/abandoned. There isnt multiple pubs in Lindale as the descriptionRead more says, one of them shut down over 5 years ago. Overall nice cottage but need to do your research before going, and take a car. Hide

Lovely, cosy holiday cottage. We made good use of the wood burner, and the sofa was super squishy! The L'Occitane toiletries were also a nice touch. The food at the local pub in Lindale was really good, and the village of Cartmel is a great spot for tea rooms and restaurants - just a short drive away. We had a very relaxing break - thank you.

What a lovely cosy romantic cottage, especially when you get the log burner on! Lovely little touch with the goodie bag, robes and LOccitane toiletries. We had no complaints but some of the comments in the guest book cited having no back garden and no gate on the front if youve got a dog as issues. Would recommend.

The cottage itself is in a good area but let down dramatically by the cleanliness noted above. We are in our late 60s / early 70s and select 5 star properties to ensure we can relax when we arrive, we should not have to go and by cleaning materials and clean ourselves to bring the property to the standard you advertise . Very dissapointed

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
