We had a most enjoyable stay despite the very bad weather. There are some most picturesque short walks from the cottage and The Gallery is a very welcome spot for a bite to eat & browse around the artwork etc.

Lovely cottage with a very nice communal garden and fantastic views. We have stayed in this cottage twice now, it is the only holiday property we have ever stayed in more than once, which says a lot for the cottage itself, the owners who are very nice people and the location. All in all I heartily recommend this property for someone who likes it trRead moreanquil, with good pub food a short distance away and of course stunning scenery everywhere you look. We will be back. Well located for northern area of Lake District. Car parking next to the cottage is convenient. Only a few miles to Keswick for food and shops. Comfortable but not ostentatious. Clean with adequate facilities.

A lovely cottage and garden in beautiful setting with a fabulous view of Skiddaw. It has everything you need and some extras like throws for sofas and beds plus towels for muddy paws. The bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
