The kitchen is fully equipped, and the stylish king-size bedroom has a beautiful four-poster bed as well as a handy en-suite wet room. Outside, the decked area is a lovely early morning suntrap, and is perfect for stargazing at night.
Local attractions include the Lake District Wildlife Park, the Lakes Distillery, Bassenthwaite Lake National Nature Reserve (all within 2 miles) and Mirehouse and Gardens (4 miles). Local peaks include Skiddaw (6.5 miles) and Grisedale Pike (10.5 miles). The Georgian town of Cockermouth (6.5 miles) is known as the birthplace of Wordsworth, and has a great range of restaurants, shops and pubs. Keswick lies on the northern shore of Derwentwater (7.5 miles), and is home to a choice of attractions including the Theatre by the Lake, Puzzling Place, Keswick Adventure Centre and the Derwent Pencil Museum.
