Bassenthwaite Lake Station is also on your doorstep. Enjoy a cream tea onboard the Orient Express train or a murder mystery evening! The Lakes Distillery is less than a mile away and offers tours, plus it has a lovely bistro to enjoy a spot of lunch. Alternatively, a friendly local pub is less than half a mile away, where guests can have dinner in traditional Lakeland surroundings. Walkers and cyclists are spoilt for choice with some fabulous walks from the doorstep; explore Sale Fell or Dubwath Silver Meadows Nature Reserve. For any mountain bike enthusiasts, there are some brilliant tracks in Whinlatter Forest, only 8 miles away. Both Cockermouth and Keswick are also within 8 miles and have a great selection of independent shops and restaurants.

There is a well-equipped kitchen and dining area with everything you need to self-cater during your stay. The lounge has comfortable seats to relax and unwind, and French doors which open onto the garden. Off the lounge is the inviting shower room – jump in after a nice long walk. Head up the stairs to the mezzanine bedroom which looks across the lounge and offers a relaxing sanctuary to unwind.
The property overlooks a pretty meadow to the rear and has a lovely, enclosed garden with a lawn and patio area. There is seating and a BBQ, offering a great place to enjoy a morning coffee, read a good book or stargaze in the evening.
