Head to Coniston for a classic Lakeland day out, where the water sports centre, 16.5 miles away, has kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and rowing-boat hire. And if it’s time for a well-earned break, hop on the Coniston Steam Yacht Gondola for an idyllic sweep round the lake.

We had such a nice relaxing time at the cabin with our doggo. Even though the kitchen is minimalistic you literally had everything you needed. There is a booklet in the cabin which tells you everything you need to know about the area including walks, shops and the beach. We loved it here

A magnificent area to stay for scenery & walks. Lovely friendly lady. Thought there was a cooker but wasnt, work surface hob took a long time to cook on. Lovely to have all the regular supplies on arrival though. No ice box in fridge. It was hard to find a nice place to eat locally but this shouldnt detract from the great location and friendly receRead moreption. We were comfortable and May well stay again. Hide
