Part of a small complex of properties on the outskirts of the secluded Lakeland village of Threlkeld, this cosy shepherd’s hut provides unique accommodation for a couple seeking an idyllic getaway. A romantic retreat for two, this tranquil property has superb views towards Blencathra and St Johns-in-the-Vale. A great base for exploring Derwentwater, Ullswater and Bassenthwaite Lake, the hut also benefits from a private hot tub to luxuriate in.


A few wide steps lead up into this pretty shepherd’s hut. Inside, you will find a fully equipped living space. This bright and relaxing interior offers a lovely open-plan layout with a stylish kitchen area that has a useful range of equipment, ideal for preparing a romantic dinner which you can share outside or around the central breakfast bar. There’s a TV so you can snuggle up to watch a favourite movie, and the property also features a comfortable raised double bed and a refreshing shower room. Outside, a private seating area is in front of the property, with a soothing hot tub perfect for luxuriating in at the end of a fabulous day out.


The picturesque village of Threlkeld has some lovely places to eat and drink, and is home to a number of attractions and landmarks including Keswick Golf Club, the Threlkeld Quarry and Mining Museum and the end of the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Path. Ullswater is to the east (10 miles), with Bassenthwaite Lake to the west (8 miles). Local attractions include the Aira Force Waterfall, Castlerigg Stone Circle and Mirehouse and Gardens (all within 10 miles). Keswick (4 miles) is at the head of Derwentwater and is home to the Derwent Pencil Museum, Keswick Adventure Centre, Puzzling Place and the Theatre by the Lake.
