Cottage very spacious, clean and comfortable. Nice rural setting . Just had an issue with temporary road closure, made visiting nearby places a long way round. Had a nice meal at local "lodge bistro" staff lovely. Great walks and scenery.

Excellent cottage, warm, well equipped and comfortable. A few extras would make this cottage truly accessible for those with some mobility issues.

Very homely and everything you need. Views are beautiful and not far to reach anywhere. TV signal had slight interruptions at times and struggled to get the WiFi - appreciate it is in the country but do need WiFi when staying anywhere. Lovely welcome when arrived.

The Stable was absolutely perfect! My elderly Mum was comfortable, warm and was able to walk around the cottage as each room lead into another in a circular fashion with no stairs to climb. The kitchen was very well equipped and just the right size. The bathroom was very elderly/disability friendly and the water was piping hot. The bedroom was loveRead morely. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the quilt and bedding nothing short of luxurious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return. Hide

Stable cottage is a great base for the Northern Lakes and the coastal area around Maryport. Comfortable cottage with plenty of space to relax in, and a pleasant extensive garden to sit in after energetic days out.

The cottage is pleasant and quiet! However it is on a busy road with no pavements, so not safe to walk along, so making the bus stop inaccessible as was the local restaurant without taking the car! If a rural retreat is what your looking for, its great!
