Very cosy appartment in one of the best locations in the Lake Distict. Just needs a little bit more care to make sure all necessities are available on arrival.

I absolutely loved my stay at Great Stickle. Not having a car meant the bus stop location was ideal and the views were amazing. I watched the antics of the calves in the field and one escape artist sheep from the sofa. Everything was easy to use. The Borrowdale Valley has eclipsed my love of Grasmere and I shall return again to this wonderful cottaRead morege. Hide

The cottage was everything we expected, the location is perfect and an accessible bus service into neighbouring places if wanting to leave the car behind. The only problem we had was the internet which wasnt very good which also controlled the tv and in bad weather the tv wasnt any good , we had no service a lot of the time on our mobile phones ( uRead morensure if this can be rectified)but lots of lovely walks nearby and we really enjoyed our time and would definitely come back Hide

Some very nice touches like the welcome pack and mini shampoos etc, shame it was let down by a lack of toilet paper. The cottage was clean and comfortable It was a very enjoyable stay

I have stayed in this flat several times now over many years. Borrowdale is one of the most beautiful places in England, indeed on earth! The busses are very handy running into Keswick for shopping or towards Honister and Buttermere for walking. Loads of walks from the door also. I look forward to coming back again and again.

The Cottage was lovely an cosy. I had read reviews saying it was cold but I found it very warm and comfortable. There was plenty of space given the fact it is a small cottage - very clean, lovely bathroom. I feel there could have been a mirror in the bedroom, and given the fact it is a decent size an upgrade to a king size would be a bonus. The douRead moreble bed was very squeaky. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided - a nice touch - thank you. Good location for the walks we wanted. Thank you! Hide

Bedroom is light & bed comfortable, could do with more furniture for clothes storage. Kitchen is small, not much storage/work space. Lounge/diner is small, not much daylight, chair & sofa are very low, not great for backs! Stairs are quite steep, not recommended for anyone with any mobility issues. Bus travel was very useful, right on the doorstep!
