Fantastically located for adventures throughout The Eden Valley, escape to the countryside with family and friends for a getaway to remember. With a bright, sociable, open-plan living space and a private hot tub, this comfortable lodge sleeps four across two bedrooms, perfect for spending quality time with loved ones. Welcoming two four-legged guests, holiday with your dogs and explore the likes of Ullswater (16.5 miles) for top hiking experiences.

Climb steps to the decked veranda and make your way inside the spacious lodge. Bursting with light and warmth from the wood burner-effect electric fire, the open-plan living area is a welcoming heart of the home which invites you to spend quality time together come day or night. Sofas and chairs are arranged around the fire and the Smart TV so you can pile the coffee table with treats and curl up in front of your favourite film. Stylish and fresh, find all the equipment you need to rustle up feasts in the kitchen where the breakfast bar is great for a mug of coffee and a read of the paper in the morning, or for fellow guests to perch and keep the chef company. Plate up inside or step down from the decking and serve up at the garden table. After dinner, soak in the hot tub before heading to bed in one of two inviting bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Lace up your shoes, throw a harness on the pups and travel 16.5 miles to the second largest lake in England, Ullswater. Hire a kayak, book a cruise on the Ullswater Steamer, or follow the 20-mile track for a waterside wander. If little ones are joining you, the Rheged Centre (9.5 miles) has exhibits, soft play, a cinema and more to keep everyone entertained.

Extremely clean lodge. Lovely views and loved the various peacocks that came to visit. Plenty of storage space in bedrooms including dressing table area in both bedrooms with mirrors and sockets. Comfy seating indoors and out. Hugh towels provided, plus oven glove, cloths and tea towels. Only downside was access to hot-tub which was accessed climbiRead moreng down into it at its deepest part which if you have mobility problems was impossible. Lovely grounds and area and locals we spoke to very friendly. Hide

A review with no dog and with a dog. No dog, great lodge, very clean and equipped well. Beds a little uncomfortable. Location was a bit remote 30 mins to nearest lake. With a dog. I wouldnt come here with a dog. The grass area you had is around the back of the lodge, nothing opens directly onto it without having to walk around the lodge. There is nRead moreo walkable exercise for your dog, you cannot walk around the grounds and you are a little contained. Hide
