With sociable spaces, gorgeous gardens and a private hot tub, this welcoming home has all you need to enjoy a relaxing stay in the Lake District. Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, holiday with loved ones and invite your four-legged pal to join the party. Visit the quaint, local pub and tuck into a hearty meal in front of the roaring fire, or travel to one of the nearby market towns to pick up delicious local produce.

Ascend the ramp to the decking area and step inside to unpack your provisions. Find yourself in the inviting heart of the home where the kitchen, lounge and dining areas are filled with natural light and create a warming space in which to spend all of your time at home. With a perfectly positioned, central table, pop your glass down and help cook up a storm in the bright kitchen- from picnic to banquet, find all you need to rustle up something delicious. Plate up at the table or dine on the decking before the hot tub tempts you to turn on the bubbles and soak the rest of the night away. After long days exploring, you’ll need a moment to unwind- fire up the wood burner effect electric fire and put your feet up for some peace and quiet, moving only to satisfy your dog’s need for a stroke or two. Tranquilly decorated to help you drift off and treated to en-suite shower rooms so you can freshen up with ease, are the two bedrooms. With one on the ground floor and one residing on the first floor, meet in the morning to discuss the day’s plans with a mug of coffee. There is off-road parking for one car.

Nestled between the stunning Skiddaw and Derwentwater (both great places to visit), is the bustling market town of Keswick. Visit the twice-weekly market and pick up fresh produce and tasty treats. Make the 16.5-mile trip south to the charming lake at Ullswater where you can make a splash with some water sports or book a cruise on the Ullswater Steamer with your dog.

Gorgeous accommodation - tastefully furnished and decorated. A lovely open plan living area with a spacious kitchen. Hot tub was great and a lovely addition. The pub opposite served amazing food as well - much better than pub grub and more like fine dining quality! Spacious clean cottage on secure grounds. Got prompt assistance when requested. We hadnt realised The Globe Inn only opens at 3PM ( disappointed as had planned hot food there before 4PM check-in). Hot tub was great. Tele in each room and good WiFi access was very useful with the cold, wet weather. Overall had a lovely relaxing time.

I would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay at Calthwaite Hall Carriage House. The property is spotless and the staff were very accommodating too. The Globe Inn pub, which is located just a stones throw away, is also well worth a visit. The food and real ale is excellent and is perfect for dog owners too. The staff were wonderful.
