Set close to the village of Bassenthwaite, the single-storey property sleeps four guests in two bedrooms and also welcomes a pair of happy hounds. Go walking, cycling and wildlife watching from your front door. Drive 7 miles into Keswick to explore the town, go shopping and dine out. While there, take a trip on Derwentwater or hire a canoe and paddle out to enjoy the stunning Lake District scenery.

The property is based entirely on the ground floor and is attached to a larger property on the complex, this property is attached to the side and runs along the top of the ground floor accommodation. Wander into this inviting barn and relax in the lounge/diner, with its beamed ceiling and stone walls. Switch on the TV; choose a DVD or get the maps out and plan your next adventure. Stroll into the kitchen to prepare something delicious for dinner then enjoy it at the table. Find you have a good-sized family bathroom, with a shower above the bath, for long hot soaks after tiring walks. Choose between the king-size and twin bedroom as night falls. Take breakfast out into the shared courtyard on summer mornings and relax at one of the picnic tables before packing your rucksack and heading off for the day. Find parking for two cars at the property.

Stay close to home and discover the beauty of Bassenthwaite Lake, approximately 1 mile away. This peaceful lake is renowned for its wildlife, including rare species of fish and nesting ospreys. Find footpaths and trails to follow in the area. Make your way from the village up to the Cumbria Way, approximately 3 miles away. See cascading Dash Falls while you are up here and take in the sweeping Lakeland vistas. Take children to the Lake District Wildlife Park for the day: approximately 2 miles from the barn, this is home to a spectrum of exciting creatures.
