Fabulous views, TV & bathroom. Need more hanging space though, it's miniscule. Local pub/hotel not serving non residents at the moment but good value for money at the Sun Inn, Bassenthwaite Village especially Sunday dinner! The Wheatsheaf at Embleton was fab, though a bit more pricey. Need to book in advance for most eateries at the moment. KeswickRead more was lovely though very crowded by the Lake. Hide

We had such a lovely time the lodge was very clean, modern and comfortable. Absolutely fantastic views and location is 2 mins from Bassenthwaite Lake and only 10-15mins drive from Keswick, Walks and Whinlatter Forest which are all great for families. The only thing I recommend in the summer is taking an electric fan as it was so hot and fly killer Read morespray as there was a lot of blue bottle flys, however we had very hot weather when we were there so might be ok when cooler. We would defo go back! Hide

This is a small pod..beautifully situated with views that make you feel as if you are in the middle of a painting. The small space incorporates facilities in a very creative way so comfort is never compromised. The area is outstandingly beautiful with plenty to see and do.

The Lake District National Park is a superb choice for a holiday. If you love nature and the great outdoors, the Lake District is one of the UK’s most beautiful holiday destinations. Taking up the lion’s share of the north-western county of Cumbria, the region has been popular with visitors since Victorian times, and it’s the only place to find mountains in England. Peace and tranquillity characterise the wonderful Lake District, with 16 lakes, including England’s longest and deepest, there is much to see and do. Visit Coniston Water, Ullswater, Wast Water and Windermere for just a taste of what you can see in the Lake District National Park.

Small towns like Ambleside, Windermere, Hawkshead, Bowness-on-Windermere and Glenridding all make for great bases from which to relax and unwind between sojourns into the fantastic natural landscapes of the Lake District National Park. Wildlife and bird lovers can spot all kinds of lesser spotted species in situ, and walking trails reveal some of the very best vistas within English borders. To embellish the experience, you can enjoy some of the country’s cosiest pubs and restaurants, many found in picture-perfect locations.
