Excellent location, great views and many great walks from door. Pub at bottom of lane. Hourly bus to Keswick. Good value. Request heating is put in in advance if cold weather. Warms up well.. Kitchen small but has what you need. Fridge has freezer compartment but only one star so take care if buying frozen goods. Comfortable. Would go back

Apartment was very comfortable, everything you needed was supplied. The bathroom was old and tired but apart from that everything including the view was spot on.

Rosthwaite is an absolute gem of a place and Borrowdale is just beautiful. We had a fabulous week staying here. The flat was very comfortable with a lovely view from the sitting room. Loved sitting in the window just looking out. We had a dog with us too and felt comfortable with him there. I would totally recommend Catbells to stay.

Brilliant location for walks on your doorstep. Hardly used the car as the bus service was excellent. Accommodation was like a home from home, and would highly recommend. As a single woman on my own (with a dog) I felt very safe. Surrounded by fells and nature in every direction - if you enjoy walking you'll love this. Would stay there again.

Catbells is a lovely flat that felt like home as soon as we settled into it. There are two or three beautiful walks that start just outside the door, and the location of Rosthwaite is close to other great places like Scafell Pike and Derwent Water. The kitchen is well-equipped and we were able to cook without any problems. The atmosphere is very peRead moreaceful and the neighbours are very discreet. All in all, a wonderful stay, to be repeated. Hide

Not really a cottage more of a flat/ apartment inside a cottage sharing with 4 others Not a secure garden for the dog so we had to keep him on a lead at all times Apartment was clean and well equipped with everything you need for a home from home holiday
